The school and the information about alcoholic beverages among adolescents rural maranhenses

Considering that in rural communities, one of the only forms of leisure is related to the consumption of alcoholic beverages and that adolescents live with this reality and, at an early age, they begin to consume this licit drug in Brazil, by means of interviews with them, if the school offers information on the problem of consumption and abuse of alcoholic beverages. As a data collection procedure, a field work was done with 22 students, between 12 and 14 years of age. As an instrument of data collection, a questionnaire was used with questions related to the proposed theme. Based on the analysis of the collected data, we identified gaps in the dialogues between the professionals of the education and the adolescents about the subject in the school scope.
