This article covers RFID technology, which stands for Radio Frenquency Identification or Radio Frequency Identification. Technology that uses radio frequency communication to transmit and receive data from a mobile device to a reader, that device can be, for example, a tag, a card or even a key ring, which are known as a tag. It can be pointed out that there are several advantages, among them, its diversity of supports, security, easy integration, technological development capacity and achievable market value proves to be one of the most interesting solutions for automatically storing data. It was largely intact in the industry, as it proved to be efficient in process optimization and aid in the analysis of data related to production. The equipment necessary to install this technology in a company, the antennas, readers, tags and computers were also analyzed, and the cost compared to the profit the company will have when using this technology.
