Quality of working life of health professionals on the front line against Covid-19

This article proposes a reflection on the strategic value of the Management of Quality of Working Life (MQWL) of health professionals involved in combating COVID-19. At first, the current pandemic scenario was contextualized, and the main psychosocial effects it triggered in the lives of health professionals were highlighted. Then, the concept of Quality of Working Life (QWL) has been defined and articulated with the work reality of health professionals on the front line against COVID-19. Finally, we present MQWL proposals to coping with the psychosocial suffering produced in times of pandemic are presented, such as the application of the 'demand-control' model, the presence of management ensuring basic working conditions, constant training, disclosure, clarity and veracity of information about COVID-19 and psychosocial support based on the work of psychologists.
