Prevalence of depressive symptoms in elderly people linked to social institutions in the cearens interior

Depressionis characterized as a subjective diagnosisp sychopathology, in orderto cause changes in the individual affected with cognitive evidence. Therefore, the aim of this study was to promote the tracing of traces ofdepressivesymptoms in theelderlybelongingtotwodifferent social institutions in the interior of Ceará. The sample consistedof 105 elderlypeople, withanaverage age of 65 years or more. The firstcollectiontookplace in March 2015 toFebruary 2016, the second in June 2017 to August of the sameyear. At thefirstinstitution, 15.1% had no trace, 15.1% had traces, and 69.8% already fit the occurrence of advanced depressive symptoms. In thesecond, 36.5% had no traces, 23.1% had mildtomoderate and 40.4 already had symptoms of depression. Given the facts, there were greater traces in the Referenceand Social Assistance Center andsymptomatology in the Basic Health Unit.
