Breastfeeding is an important practice for the mother-child binomial, despite the uncertainties regarding the transmission of the 2019 coronavirus through the maternal bed. Objective: to analyze the evidence in the literature on breastfeeding management in the current context of a COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: Integrative literature review. Inclusion criteria were used: publications on breastfeeding and COVID-19; original articles, published from 2019 until April 2020, in English, Spanish and Portuguese; indexed in the VHL, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science. The research was in April 2020 and used the equation of breastfeeding and COVID19. The articles were examined and organized in two tables. Results: 117 articles were found, but only 06 met the inclusion criteria, 03 were produced in the USA, 02 in China and 01 in Italy. Conclusion: Studies have shown that breastfeeding can be established, even in the case of mothers with COVID-19, as long as it is carried out under strict infection control measures, respecting the maternal desire and condition, evaluating the type of medication used in the treatment as compatibility in breastfeeding.
