In 2019, a pandemic for COVID-19 emerges, using social distancing and social isolation as a better way to understand the epidemiological and clinical aspects of the disease, in addition to reducing the spread of the virus, generating a long period of physical inactivity and its recurrent bad consequences to people's wellbeing. But in addition to this downside of the pandemic, we have another one that is even worse and more serious, people who were infected by the virus had severe and diffuse sequelae, with physical exercise being an extremely important ally in the rehabilitation and restoration of the physical, social and emotional functions of COVID-19 recovered patients. The present study is a literature review that aims to show the importance of physical exercise in rehabilitation after infection by COVID-19 and which paths the Physical Education professional should follow to contribute to rehabilitation in a safe and effective way.
