Eight percent of the population was recorded 60 years and above in 2011 Census, and it is expected to increase its share to 12.5 percent and 20 percent by 2026 and 2050 respectively. In this regard, to assess their existing economic condition of elderly (60+) in terms of housing condition, availability of assets and access and freedom to spend money the present research is done.
