This is an integrative review study, with a descriptive character and a qualitative approach, carried out by searching the databases: LILACS and SCIELO between the years 2012-2019, which meet the objectives of the same. From the realization of the research, it was observed the new model of nurses' performance in the treatment of elderly patients with pressure injury through the forms of management, use of subscales, application of protocols that assist in nursing care and in the prevention and treatment of injured patients, as well as new coverage and types of injury assessment. It is concluded that the present study contributed to a new scientific knowledge focused on the performance of the professional nurse in the treatment of elderly patients with pressure injuries.
