The studies found in the literature indicate that high-impact physical exercise is a risk factor for urinary incontinence, but it has been observed that there is a gap in studies including the Crossfit® modality. Thus, the objective of the present study is to verify the prevalence of stress urinary incontinence in women practicing Crossfit®. This is a prospective cross-sectional study, where the sample consisted of ninety-one women, of whom 50 were non-practitioners of physical activity and 41 were Crossfit® practitioners. All the participants were submitted to the completion of an anamnesis with sociodemographic data and a clinical history associated with stress urinary incontinence. Added to this anamnesis was the specific questionnaire validated and adapted to Portuguese, ICIQ-SF. The study consisted of a single visit to Crossfit® women participants and non-physical activity women. For statistical analysis, the relative risk was used. According to the present study, the results may suggest the etiologic possibility of Crossfit® to urinary incontinence, however, the confidence interval presented compels us to understand that this outcome happened at random. However, we can not firmly affirm the risk of Crossfit® practice for SUI, since no significant difference was observed between the groups.
