Abstract:

This present work was undertaken to evaluate the effects of mineral manure and watering on the production of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with a view to increase the yield of common bean in Kongo Central Province. The test was installed according to a device in Split-Split stud including 3 replications. The principal plots consisted of 4 varieties (HM21-7, ZKA98-6M/95, MANSEKI and TUTA); the sub-plots of 4 frequencies of watering (Without watering = F0, Watering from sowing to flowering = F1, Watering of flowering at the beginning of maturation = F2 and Watering from sowing to the beginning of maturation = F3 and the sub-sub plots of 4 amounts of artificial fertilizer (D0 = pilot not fertilized;D1 = 30N-30P2O5-30K2O; D2 = 60N-60P2O5-60K2O; D3 = 90N-30P2O5-30K2O).The observations related to the parameters of yield. The results obtained showed that the D2 amount associated with watering from sowing to the maturation beginning gave a yield of 1230 kg ha -1 against 609 kg ha -1 for the check without manure and watering, either an increase of 102 %. However, with the same D2 amount without watering the yield was 735 kg ha a -1 or an increase of 20.7 % compared to the check D0 (609 kg ha -1). In addition, whatever the amount of manure, any contribution of manure under the soil conditions where the content of residual moisture is 20 % does not have any significant effect on the yield without irrigation.
