Diabetic foot is considered one of the complications of diabetes mellitus, with severe clinical repercussions that can cause significant impairment of the quality of life of people with this condition. In view of this, the objective was to identify the psychosocial and economic problems of the individual with diabetic foot that lead to compromised quality of life. It is an integrative review of the literature, carried out in the Virtual Health Library, fromjuly to september 2019, using the descriptors: "Diabetic foot" and "Quality of life". The survey was carried out in the databases LILACS, SCIELO and MEDLINE. Next, the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, which resulted in 5 articles. The analysis identified the impacts that affect self-image, changes in social and family life, increased financial costs with medications, exams and hospitalizations, and work-life impairment. The study made it possible to identify that the diabetic foot presents psychosocial and economic impacts to the individual, making it essential for the managers and health professionals to act in the prevention and control of diabetes complications in a multiprofessional and interdisciplinary way.
