The objective of the study was to analyze how the financial management / administration of CEEB, a philanthropic school in the interior of Maranhão, contributes to the development of children and adolescents. The methodology was characterized as a documentary bibliographic study, exploratory and descriptive, through a field research, the study sample was composed of 3 managers and 42 teachers from the institutional community of CEEB. The data were collected through an online questionnaire, with open and closed questions available on Google Drive. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 24.0 statistical package, where descriptive statistics were adopted to characterize the sample, using absolute and relative values (categorical data) and mean and standard deviation (numerical data). It was observed that financial coordination works instinctively for the benefit of students, where 41.5% of teachers defend their excellence and affirm that it positively interferes in the development of the children involved. In addition, CEEB practices the principle of democratic management, including the participation of teachers and the school community, in order to guarantee the quality of teaching for students. Therefore, it can be said that the financial management of the institution is proposed as one of the motivating aspects of teachers, due to the importance of quality education, and transparency in management. Going further, it discusses the importance of articulating public educational guidelines and policies, and actions to implement these policies and the educational projects of schools, with teachers and with all those who directly contribute to the training of students.
