Agriculture is a prime occupation in the economy of any country which provides not only food for the population but also raw material for industries. The sector, with its multifaceted approach, requires evaluation and assessing to make it more efficient. The effective marketing system plays a vital role which helps farmers and industrialists getting fair prices and considerable profits respectively. It is important to discuss that private sector neither invest nor wish to develop Agricultural Marketing. Government has provided plenty of facilities to the agriculture sector viz. farmer training, financial subsides and other awareness programmes. Every state has its own agricultural organization which provides facilitates to farmers through different schemes. This paper evaluates the awareness of people regarding the schemes and their effectiveness launched by Himachal Pradesh government through state Agricultural Produce Marketing Board. The focus is on to the benefits of stakeholders through various schemes of the board.
