The impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on field work in Preventive Archeology is the theme of this article, which aims to discuss the prevention protocols against the new coronavirus practiced by companies that contracted Archeology services in Brazil during the year 2020, combined with this, to observe the pressures and insecurities suffered by archeology professionals in the context of their work activities in the field during the pandemic process. The research was carried out based on the analysis of the experimental reports of Archaeologists who worked in the field during the pandemic. The results show that in most cases there was no training in work safety for the pandemic moment, nor was there any inspection about the practices of the teams. The results also indicate that preventive care was much more individual and focused on the guidelines available in the media and social networks, leaving anguish and insecurity as the most common feelings among those who worked during this period.
