Introduction: Endodontic therapy consists of several phases ranging from access, chemical-mechanical preparation, and obturation of the root canal system, all related to each other and their importance for success in treatment. Description: The patient was referred to the specialized dental office by a general practitioner for evaluation and continuation of endodontic therapy of the right upper lateral incisor (12). It was reported that the patient presented a compatible picture of acute apical abscess of the phoenix type, and drainage was performed and, after one week, the endodontic treatment of the upper central incisor was completed (11). The colleague reported that the endodontic treatment of tooth 11 was performed without rubber dam, and tooth 12 was exposed to the mouth areafor more than 15 days. The tracing was performed and the gutta percha cone directed to the central region of the periapical lesion. Therefore, the non-surgical endodontic intervention was instituted as a therapeutic modality in the units. Results: The efficacy of the treatment was observed due to the absence of signs and symptoms, besides clinical and radiographic follow-up, with regression of the lesion. Conclusion: Endodontic treatment, as well as final restorations and proservation of the cases are essential in these situations, in order to define the success of the therapy. The patient underwent clinical and radiographic monitoring annually for a period of 7 years and is rehabilitated, with repair of the periapical region radiographically and reestablishment of the masticatory and aesthetic functions.
