The purpose of this paper study is to examine the most amazing moment of any woman’s life, pregnancy of course, the very aim of it is to provide several modifications and changes in the maternal organism, for consequent physiological adaptations attributed to the hormonal changes necessary for the development of the embryo and fetal growth during the pregnancy period. Understanding the perception of a puerpera as some benefits that physical therapy during the gestational period provides for the meantime of giving birth, the method adopted during the study was the qualitative analysis of Bardin, obtaining results in which the lack of perineal exercises during the gestation could cause to t6he parturient unpleasant pains, discomfort and even perineal injury. Therefore, it is been possible get to the conclusion that physiotherapy with the use of perineal exercises plays a very important role in the gestational process, aiming to provide pregnant women less discomfort, pain, perineal injuries, accompanying, guiding and preparing before and during childbed with instructions of the best form for positions, breathing, changes in decubitus, when forcing lying-in and correct forms of having a good recovery.
