Influência dos bicos artificiais sobre o aleitamento materno em crianças de creches do municipio de imperatriz-ma

Abstract:

Breast milk is the most appropriate food for the child in the first months of life, providing protection against various diseases such as diarrhea, respiratory infections and reduces the risks of allergies, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes and obesity. The objective of the present study was to analyze the influence of artificial nozzles on breastfeeding in children in day care centers in the Municipality of Imperatriz-MA. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out between February and June 2018. The study was attended by 69 parents or guardians, with children aged between six months and two years, enrolled in two day care centers in the city. The data analysis was done in the Platform Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS. Based on the results obtained, it was noticed that the majority of the children are from 1 year and a half to 2 years (65.2%). Regarding the reason for the weaning, the investigated ones affirmed that the main reason was the refusal of the baby (%), work of the mother (%) and little milk (%). In addition, it was evidenced that the pacifier was used in conjunction with breastfeeding (%) in the first week of life (%). Regarding the use of bottle, note that the greater portion affirms the use due to "dry milk" (%). The use of artificial nipples, together with factors such as labor, breast problems and lack of orientation of the mother, corroborate for early weaning, but emphasizes the importance of performing prenatal care, as well as the part of the health professional.
