Introduction: After months of the outbreak of the pandemic by COVID-19, its epicenter moved from China, Europe and USA to Brazil, exposing our population to the devastating consequences of this infection. There is no speech among the people, the health authorities or the public authorities. Materials and Method: This is an update of the literature associated with the “provocative” discussion through searches of scientific articles in national and international journals, between the years 2020-2021, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Results and Discussion: Every life matters to someone somewhere in Brazil. Every death is mourned by someone anywhere on the globe. The circumstances of death do not matter; from the most cruel, tragic and sudden to the most expected, suffered and natural. Brazil, having Jair Messias Bolsonaro as its current President of the Republic, surpassed the lines of discernment, lack of love, neglect and, mainly, the lack of political planning of a nation. We face, as a republic, our worst health crisis. They lose us somewhere in our beliefs and, unfortunately, we die from the absence of an oxygen cylinder. Conclusion: President Jair Bolsonaro's perverse association with the “neoliberal” regime of authoritarianism, contempt for science and such a “psychopathic” appetite, made our country reach the peak of the catastrophe.
